DINOSAURS

1:

Millions and millions of years ago, long before there were people, dinosaurus walked on Earth. Dinosaurs were reptiles. The biggest dinosaurs were the largest animals ever lived on land. The smallest were about the size of a chicken. There were a lot of dinosaurs, like Aparatosaurus, Allosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Triceraptos, Deinonychus, Cosmopsognathus, and many others…

2:               Plant eaters

Most dinosaurs ate plants. These gigantic `Brachiosauruses` were as tall as a four-story building and weighed as much as 15 elephants. They had long necks that allowed them to eat leaves on high branches that other dinosaurs couldn`t reach.

3:                Meat eaters

Some dinosaurs survived by  eating other animals, including other dinosaurs. The `Tyrannosaurus` was one of the largest and most terrifying meat eaters on Earth. Its sharp teeth powerful jaws could  easily crush a bone.

4:                     Pterosaur

One prehistoric animal, the Pterosaur, was a reptile that fly. It was the first animal other  insects to fly, and it existed before birds. A Pterosaur`s wings were made of skin instead of feathers.

5:               Dino babies

Dinosaurs babies hatched from eggs. Female dinosaurs laid the eggs in nests on the ground. Some dinosaurus cared for their babies by feeding and protecting them until they left the nest. Others left their young to survive on their own.

6:                Death of dinosaurs

One of the great mysteries about dinosaurs is why they become extinct, or died out, about 65 millions years ago. Many scientists think that a huge asteroid or comet from space crashed into Earth at this very time. Dust from the crash would have block sunlight and stopped plants from growing. The dinosaurus would have have starved.
